The present grant will offer a three year salary (50,000-60,000€/year – net salary: about 2,800€/month Assistant/Associate Professor salary), that could be extended for two supplementary years, after assessment, and may be an opportunity for the future to have a permanent position in France.
2011 - Senior innovative team (maximum 1 million euros)
The present call aims to identify investigators presently working abroad willing to set up their own Alzheimer’s research team in France.
The candidate must have a strong background in the field of Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders and at least 5 years post-doctoral experience. Applications have to be done in agreement with a French hosting partner (partner of the National Alliance for life et health sciences, university, research centre, hospital…). The candidate (and her/his team) is encouraged to apply for other fundings since this call may be answered together with other French calls for young investigators (ANR, ATIP-Avenir, etc…). Administrative support should be obtained from the hosting partner.
The present grant will offer a five-year salary (maxi 70,000-80,000€/year – net salary: about 3,500€/month – Professor/Research Director salary) for the PI. Two additional salaries for co-applicants (post-doctoral fellow and/or technician) and a budget of 100,000€/year for consumables and small materials (will be also provided for three years).
This team should be hosted in an environment with dedicated lab space and research facilities (animal facility, behaviour, imaging, proteomics, sequencing, transcriptomics, etc…).
